connie & ken. happily married.

i had the absolute pleasure of photographing this lovely couple's reception a couple of weeks ago.
i've known connie for a few years and never in my life have i ever met a more gracious and loving individual. and ken was very much her match in that area as well. yes, this was a celebration of their new lives together, but it was so not about them. they were 100% there for their guests and it was very apparent in the way they treated each individual who came. every single person walked away that night feeling loved and adored and like no one else on the planet mattered but them. even the simple gesture of letting the little girls hold her bouquet for a second- they instantly lit up and you could tell it completely meant the world to them.
in that same breath, connie and ken were a complete hoot together. i honestly felt like they were just a couple of goofy teenagers, completely smitten with each other and full of jokes and laughter and pure joy. no two people are more deserving of so much love and happiness.
it was such a refreshing night to be a part of. i'm so happy for them, and wish them nothing but the best in their years together.

mead family. utah family photographer.

recently, my baby sister moved far, far away from me. like really far. and she took her baby child with her. the nerve, right? i'm still trying to be ok with this, really i am. sure, furthering her hubby's schooling and career are important and i'm totally supportive of that. but i'm kinda not. so at least i have these pictures to look back and love on. that's kind of the same thing as having them here still, right?
and so the countdown to christmas begins...

and because she just turned one, you get to enjoy this cutest girl's cake smash as well.
gosh, i love her little face.

ever wonder what the parents look like as they're trying to get their child to get into the cake? i have a feeling they're going to be "those" parents at erin's sporting events... that i'll never be able to go to because they're so far away...

love you and miss you, you delicious little babe!
